Requirements for Horse Trials

A number of organizational and fee changes within Equestrian Canada has led to changes in fees and membership requirements. We suggest you start organizing your paperwork now.

Membership and Licensing Details

1. Equestrian Canada Sport License

Available online from the Equine Canada website - Join / Renew

  • BRONZE $25 - PreTraining level and below
  • SILVER $80 - Training level

2. Eventing Affiliation Fee

This fee and your Omnibus are now coordinated through Equestrian Canada and there is not a separate Eventing Canada membership card.

  • SENIOR membership - $25
  • JUNIOR membership - $20 (17 years of age and under as of Jan 1st)

To obtain your eventing affliation (indicated by the word EVENTING on your EC card):

3. Horse Trials New Brunswick or equivalent membership

HTNB fees have been reduced to reflect the new Equestrian Canada membership fees.

  • SENIOR membership - $10
  • JUNIOR membership - $10

4. New Brunswick Equestrian Association or equivalent membership

5. Equine Canada Passport

If you are competing at Training level or above your horse must have a Passport. Passports are available through EC Sport Licence Services website.
