Sunday, August 24th
The closing date is August 20th and the event is filling quickly.
Now in our third year, we have changed the course considerably for all 3 levels, adding new fields and many new jumps. Some of the new fences include a coffin complex, a double ditch palisade, a new Training brush out of the water, an Entry stone wall and Pre-training and Entry Trakehners. If we get some sun, we are going to do our best to get the course walk updated next week.
We are always looking for volunteers to help out before and on the day of the competitions. drop us an email if you are interested.

Jen Hamilton proved to be a professional clinician dedicated to riders as she stood in the rain for eight hours on Saturday with never a complaint. Focusing on stride control, bending lines, and riding with conviction and accuracy, she provided each lesson with a full 2 hours packed with pearls of wisdom and knowledge. Despite the weather conditions, riders all came away from the day with great satisfaction on their progress in the ring. Sunday began in the sand ring where the previous lessons were reviewed and new questions were asked in preparation for the cross country course. With sunshine and clear skies, Jen's level of experience shone through as she brilliantly transferred the stadium exercises onto the cross country course. Riders had the opportunity to open the stride in the field as they jumped the solid obstacles while maintaining the lessons of stride control and accuracy. We would like to thank Jen for an excellent clinic. Looking forward to the next one!
In the fall of 2007 Brae Fearann purchased training and preliminary cross country portable jumps from Evergreen Stables following the closure of that horse trial facility. These new-to-us jumps will add new challenges to the Training course and will allow us to offer Preliminary level schooling fences. We would like to thank Mike Gallagher for his generosity in selling the jumps and Horse Trials NB for providing some subsidy for the transportation of these jumps.
We will be re-designing all three levels of cross country courses this spring which will include new portable fences, adding distance, new ditch jumps and a new coffin complex.
We are looking forward to an exciting season and would encourage you to mark your calendars with the following things we have in store:

Apart from the gale force winds blowing in Harvey Station on the weekend, the weather, the dressage show and the horse trials all went beautifully. While the water complex proved to be a challenge for many at the Horse Trials, overall there were some wonderful performances in the dressage ring and well ridden cross country and stadium jumping efforts. Thanks to Bird-Stairs and Little's Lumber for making the water complex project a reality.
Thank you to all the volunteers, sponsors, jump judges, spectators, competitors and, of course, their amazing horses for making it such a wonderful weekend.
We also held our very first Primary Dressage Show this year. It was a very successful day and a great primer for the Horse Trials the following day.
The 2007 show season has had incredible support from various individuals and companies. Check out this year's Red Ribbon Sponsors, our Blue Ribbon Friends, and our amazing volunteers. Be sure to show them your gratitude for providing prizes and helping to make this year a great success!
As always, Brae Fearann cross country courses and rings are available for schooling, weather dependant. See Services for more details.
